Stone Restored
A memorial restoration company that doesn't just clean stones — it builds futures.
Concept exploration · not a live client site
The challenge
Stone Restored is Arizona's first dedicated memorial restoration company. They clean and restore worn gravestones, monuments, and bronze plaques — but the mission goes deeper: they train Arizona youth ages 16-24 in skilled trades, providing real paid apprenticeships in the process.
The website had to do something tricky: balance grief-adjacent service marketing with hopeful workforce-development storytelling. It needed to convert grieving families into clients, attract corporate ESG partners, and signal that this is a serious, scalable business — all without losing the heart that makes it work.
The approach
Three strategic decisions made the difference:
- Show the work immediately. A before/after slider on the homepage is the single most effective conversion element. One drag of the cursor explains the entire service better than any paragraph could.
- Lead with mission, close with service. Most service businesses bury the "why" in an About page nobody reads. Stone Restored puts the mission second — right after the hero — because families donate to missions but buy from services. The site needed to do both.
- Plant flags for the future. A franchise opportunity page on a brand-new website sounds ridiculous — until you realize it signals ambition. Same with the corporate partnership section. Stone Restored isn't a hobby; it's a category-defining business in waiting.
"We restore what time forgets."
What got built
- Homepage with before/after slider, mission section, service list, process explainer, and statewide service map
- Free Assessment form — lead-gen front and center, "no photo required" reduces friction
- Services breakdown — six distinct service offerings with icons and descriptions
- Corporate & Community Impact section targeting ESG partnerships
- Franchise opportunity page for territory expansion outside Arizona
- Trust signals throughout — "no photo required," "response within 24 hours," "no obligation"
- Mobile-first design with sticky CTAs
- Email routing for service requests, partnerships, and franchise inquiries (three separate channels)
The result
Stone Restored launched with three things most service businesses don't have on day 1:
- A clear, frictionless lead-capture system
- A mission story that opens corporate and community doors
- A franchise infrastructure ready to scale beyond Arizona
The site doesn't just describe what Stone Restored does — it positions the company as the obvious choice for any Arizona family with a worn memorial, and as a defensible category leader for any corporate partner doing ESG work in the state.
Most importantly: it's a service business website that converts. The forms, the trust signals, the before/after proof, the multiple contact paths — every element points toward a single goal: "click the assessment button."
